Dean park is a great place to have a barbecue or play with friends. They offer Fresh Water Fishing lessons there. Dean Park is located at 805 Main St. Shrewsbury MA. They have a Water Fountain show that is very interesting and it has lights when the water shoots up. These fountains came in 2004. The pond at Dean Park is not allowed for swimming. They have a baseball field and a huge group of flat grass. It is near General Artemas Ward's Museum. At Dean Park you will first enter the recreational area with a large playground and collection of Basketball courts, Tennis courts, Baseball fields and a Sand Volleyball court. The fountains at Dean Park were donated by Shrewsbury because the death of Irving James Donahue,Jr (1922-2003). It is open to any residents or visitors and it can hold several hundred people. If you walk on the southwestern side of Dean Pond there is a large oak tree that provides shade on a small rock that you can sit on.
