- On July 29, 1904, on the Shrewsbury side of Lake Quinsigamond, a resident of Shrewsbury named John Cummings confessed he was the "ghost" people had seen appear on the lake!
- Mr. Whittal purchased 100 acres of land that are part of Prospect Park. His wife donated it to the Grand Lodge of Masons. After Mr Whittall's death in 1922, his wife continued to live there. It was 2-story Georgian style estate. The town decided to demolish it.
